Your role and contributions:

  • Support the Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Conduct various stress analyses, including Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and Finite Element Model (FEM) assessments for both metallic and composite structures.
  • Coordinate intricate analyses with stress personnel across local and remote teams.
  • Perform Material Review Board (MRB) responsibilities to support Operations activities.
  • Engage in reviews and provide technical guidance for repairs across multiple sites.
  • Participate in Engineering development projects as required.
  • Collaborate closely with other Engineering functions (such as Liaison, Design, Materials & Processes, Weights, Project, Systems, Program) and Operations (including Methods, Quality, and Production).
  • Offer technical mentorship to junior members of the stress team and other Engineering functions.
  • Review and suggest enhancements to the group’s various analysis methodologies.

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the aerospace sector, preferably with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) and Airframe Repair is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Aircraft structural substantiation analysis, including Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and Catia V5.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating good communication skills and a willingness to take on responsibilities.
  • Proactive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and sound engineering judgment.
  • Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
