Key Responsibilities:
- Support stress in-service repair activities to ensure the integrity and safety of our aircraft.
- Perform various stress analyses on repairs, including static strength, fatigue/durability, damage tolerance, and finite element model (FEM) on multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger and Global).
- Prepare stress reports, static strength, and damage tolerance analysis for compliance purposes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and repair trade studies, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Review repair engineering drawings and participate actively in the development of in-service solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues related to the supported repair activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience in aircraft structural substantiation analysis, including static, fatigue/durability, and damage tolerance analysis.
- Proficient in using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, CATIA V5, and other relevant software tools.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Initiative, strong sense of responsibility, and good engineering judgment.
