- Provide support to the Engineering and Operations teams.
- Conduct various stress analyses, including Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) for both metallic and composite structures.
- Coordinate intricate analyses among stress personnel within the local team and across different locations.
- Execute Material Review Board (MRB) responsibilities to support Operations activities.
- Engage in reviews and offer technical guidance for repairs across various sites.
- Participate in Engineering development projects as needed.
- Collaborate closely with other Engineering functions (such as Liaison, Design, Materials & Processes, Weights, Project, Systems, Program, etc.) and Operations (Methods, Quality, and Production).
- Mentor junior members of the stress team and provide technical guidance to other Engineering functions.
- Review and suggest enhancements to the group's analysis methodologies.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the aerospace sector, preferably with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
- Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) and Airframe Repair is preferred.
- Proficiency in Aircraft structural substantiation analysis, including Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and Catia V5.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A proactive individual with excellent communication skills, ready to take on responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and sound engineering judgment.
- Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
