Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager for Allied Health Services, the Certified Rehabilitation Assistant (CRA) plays a crucial role in delivering client care services as directed by licensed professionals. The CRA is tasked with providing essential client-related services within the Rehabilitation Program, alongside various supportive functions aimed at maintaining and enhancing program effectiveness. Additionally, the CRA will undertake other related responsibilities as assigned in accordance with the program's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and best practices in the workplace.
  • Report any hazardous conditions to the supervising authority.
  • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards to foster a secure working environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Relevant training or experience in rehabilitation services is preferred.
  • Experience working with the elderly population is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of safe lifting, transferring, and ambulation techniques is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute both written and verbal instructions.
  • Competence in organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully within a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in French is an asset.

Educational Requirements:

  • A valid Certified Rehabilitation Assistant certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Certification in CPR is required; BCLS certification is preferred.
