Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist

Position Overview: The Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive client services, including assessment, treatment, and expert consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client services in accordance with established protocols.
- Engage in departmental and corporate professional activities that support client care and organizational goals.
- Ensure that care delivery aligns with the hospital's vision, values, and professional standards.
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Standards, promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics or a related field is required.
- Preferred: Registration as a Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
- Experience in cardiac rehabilitation or chronic disease management is essential (minimum of 2 years).
- Specialization in Applied Kinesiology/Movement Sciences is preferred.
- Ability to interpret cardiac monitoring is an asset.
- Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine or Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology is preferred.
- Current membership in the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation is advantageous.
- A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle with insurance are required.
- Commitment to Quality Enhancement activities is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary.
