As a Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will ensure that the operational, regulatory, and professional service standards of the pharmacy are upheld to deliver exceptional patient-centered, outcome-focused care.
Your Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Provincial Pharmacy Regulations and ensure compliance with Provincial Practice Standards and Guidelines;
- Monitor Provincial Drug Formulary and inform the Retail Pharmacy Manager of any regulatory changes;
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with the Privacy Act;
- Ensure adherence to NIHB Claims Submission protocols;
- Follow Store Operating Procedures as defined by the HP&S division and uphold Operational Standards;
- Oversee pharmacy staff, including orientation, training, accountability, and leadership;
- Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on positive outcomes, collaborating with healthcare professionals and community organizations. Emphasize community education;
- Identify and cultivate business opportunities, recognizing the importance of building and maintaining relationships within the community, including Healthcare Centers, Nursing Stations, and Physician Clinics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy;
- Licensed by the relevant Provincial College of Pharmacists;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Maintain Continuing Education Requirements for Provincial licensure;
- Strong communication skills to counsel, educate, and instruct patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals;
- Previous management experience (preferably 1 year) with a community-oriented approach;
- Familiarity with Pharmacy Software Programs; experience with Kroll is an asset;
- Highly motivated with a commitment to improving community health through accessible products and services;
- Ability to manage a team of approximately 2-3 staff members;
- Effective leadership skills with a strong ability to build trust and relationships.
