Clinical Dietitian

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive nutrition care plans for patients with various health conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional needs and provide personalized recommendations for diet and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and nutrition-related topics.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in nutrition and healthcare, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition and healthcare.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
