Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert nutrition care to patients, families, and caregivers, promoting optimal health outcomes and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans, taking into account patient needs, medical history, and current health status.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including patient interviews, chart reviews, and biochemical parameter analysis, to determine the effectiveness of nutrition interventions.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition-related topics, promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices.
  • Stay up-to-date with current dietetic practice, standards, and research, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of clinical pathways, nutrition education materials, and other quality projects.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) program in Nutrition from an approved educational institution and successful completion of an approved dietetic internship program.
  • Current registration in the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes, as required.
