Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans to address their medical and nutritional requirements.
  2. Consultation and Education: Provide expert consultation and education to patients, families, and healthcare teams on nutrition-related topics, including meal planning, nutrition therapy, and disease management.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  4. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, develop clinical pathways, and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practice guidelines.
  5. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments to maintain expertise and provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) program in Nutrition from an approved educational institution and successful completion of an approved dietetic internship program.
  • Current registration in the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes, as required.
