Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert nutrition care to patients, families, and caregivers, promoting optimal health and well-being.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, dietary needs, and lifestyle.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including assessing patients' nutritional status, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies for healthy eating.
- Conduct risk screenings and assessments to identify patients at risk for malnutrition or other nutrition-related issues.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on healthy eating, meal planning, and nutrition-related topics.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in nutrition and dietetics, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote excellence in nutrition care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using clear and concise language to convey complex nutrition information.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Successful completion of an approved dietetic internship program.
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
