Miller Maintenance is currently seeking qualified candidates for Winter Works Combo/Plow Operators. The winter maintenance season typically spans from October to April, depending on weather conditions. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean driving record required.
  • Must be available for call-ins within thirty minutes.
  • Capability to operate a loader and perform additional maintenance tasks such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment upkeep.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts and extended hours (including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as required by winter events.
  • Preparedness to work in severe weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
  • Prior experience in winter operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as necessary.
  • Strong understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements.
Day in the Life

As a Snow Plow Operator, you will play a vital role in our winter maintenance team. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate a combo plow unit, executing snow removal on local roads and highways in accordance with contract specifications. When not on the road, you will maintain accurate documentation, including fuel and safety reports, as well as hours of service. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the equipment, performing routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed. Familiarity with route maps and sand/salt application rates will be essential, along with meeting call-in requirements during winter storm events.
