Miller Maintenance is currently seeking Winter Works Combo/Plow Operators. The winter maintenance season typically spans from October to April, subject to weather conditions. Minimum Qualifications:- Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Must be available for call-ins within thirty minutes.
- Capability to operate a loader and perform various maintenance tasks, including patrolling, patching, and minor equipment upkeep.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and extended hours (including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as necessitated by winter events.
- Preparedness to work in severe weather conditions.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Prior experience in winter operations is advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements.
As a Snow Plow Operator, you will play a crucial role in our winter maintenance team. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate a combo plow unit, executing snow removal on local roads and highways in accordance with contract specifications. When not on the road, you will be tasked with maintaining accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service, as well as cleaning and conducting routine maintenance on the equipment. Familiarity with route maps and sand/salt application rates will be essential, along with meeting call-in requirements during winter storm events.
