About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Riverside Inn. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Standards: Conduct regular inspections of our hotel rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Recommend Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repairs, or renovations, and recommend these to management.
  • Assist with Cleaning Duties: Assist housekeeping staff with their duties as needed, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for the housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependable, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
