Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional service.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Standards: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that cleanliness and quality standards are met.
  • Recommend Services: Identify areas for improvement and recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment to maintain the high standards of our property.
  • Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist housekeeping staff with their duties as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that the housekeeping team is adequately staffed and that tasks are completed on time.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or related role
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment
  • Supervision: 3-4 people
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, and physically demanding
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, reliability, and strong communication skills
