About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Nova Inn Wabasca. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Standards: Conduct regular inspections of our hotel rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Recommend Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repairs, or replacement of furnishings and equipment, and recommend these to management.
  • Assist with Cleaning Duties: Assist housekeeping staff with their duties as needed, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for the housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
  • Certifications: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, and reliability.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
Language

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
