Senior Project Manager, Climate Strategy and Adaptation

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Global Minerals & Metals team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing climate change risk, adaptation strategies, and decarbonization projects in the minerals and metals industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage climate change risk, adaptation strategies, and decarbonization projects from proposal generation to delivery.
  • Lead the Climate Strategy and Adaptation project delivery team and communicate clear objectives.
  • Develop tools, methodologies, and procedures for physical and transitional climate-related risk assessment.
  • Facilitate climate-related hazard, vulnerability, and exposure identification and link adaptation opportunities to strategic organizational goals.
  • Develop recommendations for decarbonization strategies and energy efficiency for current operations and mine design.
  • Manage and develop climate-related disclosure reports aligned with leading frameworks.
  • Promote business development activities and foster innovation and emerging technologies.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in climate change risk, adaptation strategies, decarbonization, and lifecycle assessment.
  • Master's degree in Sustainability Management, Environment Science, Engineering, Climate Change, Climate Economics, Geography, or related discipline.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to convey recommendations and insights in reports and presentations.
  • Relevant professional designation or eligibility status in Canada.
  • Previous experience developing and embedding sustainability strategies within large complex businesses.
