About the Role

CMHC is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Senior Specialist, Project Management to join our Housing program team. In this role, you will oversee the successful delivery of large, complex projects, ensuring appropriate risk identification and mitigation strategies, and tracking progress against goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Project Sponsor and/or Business Lead to develop a project charter and detailed project plan.
  • Advise on and seek recommendations from the project sponsor and/or Management regarding dependencies for successful delivery of projects.
  • Ensure risks are identified and documented, and work closely with the Project Sponsor and/or Business Lead to implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor progress against defined deliverables and ensure the project adheres to the agreed schedule and budget.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of internal and external resources assigned to the project.
  • Provide regular reports to the project sponsor and/or Management to ensure there is a common understanding on progress against targets and budget.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of prior relevant experience, including experience managing complex, cross-functional, high-risk projects.
  • Certified Project Management Professional credentials.
  • Demonstrated experience managing systems-based projects utilizing industry standards and best practices.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
