Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Meeting Coordinator to join our Hospitality Services team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing events in our facilities, ensuring exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their event needs and preferences.
  • Plan and coordinate events, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, and logistics.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on event planning and execution, ensuring seamless delivery of events.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, facilities, and technology, to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance customer service and event delivery.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and event planning software.
Working Conditions

This role requires a combination of office and event environment work, with non-standard working hours, including evenings and weekends. The incumbent must be flexible with scheduling and able to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of discretion and adherence to security and compliance policies.
