Department Overview
At Motorola Solutions, we tackle some of the most pressing challenges in safety and physical security by creating sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products designed to protect individuals, businesses, and communities globally.

Avigilon, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced AI, video analytics, network video management systems, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that revolutionize the interaction with security systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and wireless certification for video security products and cameras, with an emphasis on cellular certification.
- Collaborate proactively with electrical and mechanical engineering teams throughout the development process to ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Ensure that products undergo testing in alignment with safety, EMC, RF, and carrier regulations.
- Represent Motorola Solutions in interactions with carriers, testing laboratories, regulatory agencies, and governing bodies.
- Engage with suppliers and industry partners to guarantee that products and components adhere to regulatory compliance requirements.
- Generate and maintain necessary compliance documentation, including test reports that demonstrate conformity to regulatory standards.
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing the regulatory compliance process.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience in regulatory compliance for multimedia equipment.
- Proven experience collaborating with carriers, certification organizations, and testing laboratories.
- Familiarity with country-specific wireless type approvals, including FCC, ICES, IFT, Anatel, KC, and MIC.
- Experience in obtaining PTCRB and GCF compliance.
- Proficient in drafting safety, EMC, and RF test reports and preparing technical documentation.
- Goal-oriented with strong business acumen.
- A degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position in British Columbia is 80,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
