About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Advisor to join our team at Co-operators. As an exclusive Financial Advisor, you will have the opportunity to build your own insurance agency and work closely with our established company to achieve your goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and acquire new clients to discuss risk management and financial goals, and conduct regular reviews to empower clients to make informed decisions.
  • Cultivate strong community relationships to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute business, operational, and marketing plans to support sustainability strategies and contribute to sales and growth goals.
  • Recruit, select, and manage a team of employees, providing coaching and mentoring to facilitate their development and achieve agency goals.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.

What to Expect

  • You will be working independently, meeting with clients and community members in their environment.
  • You will be required to have a valid driver's license and insurance, and may be required to travel.
  • You will be working with sensitive information and must maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • You will be subject to a background check as a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Life licence and General Insurance licence, with Mutual Funds licence as an asset.
  • Completed or working toward a professional designation such as CFP, CLU, CHFC, or accredited Financial Planning Designation.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 + commission
