Environmental Compliance Lead

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Lead to join our team at Reworld. As a key member of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various regulatory authorities and internal procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies related to transportation, customs, and other regulatory requirements
* Stay informed and proactive about changes to regulations, classifications, and export and environmental requirements
* Conduct internal and external audits and implement corrective actions to ensure full compliance
* Assist in the management of received materials that are not in compliance
* Assist customers, suppliers, and authorities in their audits and track recommended improvements implementation
* Participate in the management of training programs
* Help draft reports required by the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MELCC)
* Prepare modifications to ministerial permits and requests from the MELCC
* Participate in building safety management
* Perform other tasks assigned by the management team

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent work experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
* Strong organizational, planning, and priority management skills
* Strong analytical and synthetic skills
* Team spirit
* Knowledge of various laws and regulations applicable to waste management and transportation of hazardous materials
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
* Experience in compliance audits or environmental management (an asset)
* Relevant training or experience in quality and environmental management (an asset)

**What We Offer**
