Hazardous Materials
Location: Kenora, ON
We are looking for an Environmental Project Specialist to enhance our Hazardous Materials division. This role is pivotal in ensuring safety and compliance in various work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough site assessments for hazardous substances such as asbestos, mould, and lead.Oversee field operations, including site visits and remediation oversight.Manage and coordinate subcontractor activities effectively.Analyze and interpret sample data in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.Efficiently manage project timelines and deliverables.Engage with clients and subcontractors to address health, safety, and environmental concerns.Foster and maintain strong client relationships.Qualifications:
Entry-level to two years of relevant experience.Experience in Hazardous Materials, Indoor Environmental Quality, or Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous.Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.Professional designations such as C.E.T. are considered an asset.Familiarity with environmental legislation and guidelines.Understanding of building systems including HVAC and plumbing is beneficial.Ability to read and interpret architectural plans is a plus.Experience with environmental monitoring tools is an asset.Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.Proficient in technical report writing.Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.Willingness to work outside standard hours and on weekends as needed.A valid driver's license and vehicle are required for travel within the designated area.Benefits:
