As a Heavy Equipment Excavation Specialist, you will contribute significantly to our commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform earth moving and grading tasks in challenging mining environments.
  • Load and manage haul trucks efficiently.
  • Construct according to design specifications.
  • Assist ground personnel as needed.

  • Promote a strong safety culture by following Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of recent experience operating excavators (models 336, 349, 390, 470, 670, 1250).
  • Experience in hard rock mining and/or heavy civil earthworks.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical specifications, grade plans, and road construction.
  • Familiarity with various ground conditions, including soft and hard rock.
  • Ability to perform finishing or trimming work is a plus.
  • GPS operation experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must possess (or be willing to obtain) CSO, Intermediate First Aid, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications.
  • Provide your own CSA-approved steel-toed 6" lace-up boots.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and safely.
  • This position is safety-sensitive; passing an alcohol, drug, and fit-to-work assessment is mandatory.

Working Conditions:

  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and sunshine.
  • Be prepared to handle noise and vibrations on-site.
  • Willingness to work up to 12 hours a day.
  • Flexibility to work day or night shifts.
  • Must be open to working in remote locations on a rotational schedule, with accommodations provided.
  • Flights from designated travel hubs will be arranged.
