Environmental Project Specialist

Hazardous Materials

Location: Kenora, ON

Pinchin is looking for an Environmental Project Specialist to enhance our Hazardous Materials division. This role is essential for ensuring safety and compliance in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site assessments for hazardous materials such as asbestos, mould, and lead.
  • Oversee field operations, including site visits and remediation supervision.
  • Manage subcontractors effectively to ensure project goals are met.
  • Analyze and interpret sample results in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.
  • Efficiently manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Engage with clients and subcontractors to address health, safety, and environmental concerns.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Entry-level to two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Hazardous Materials, Indoor Environmental Quality, or Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
  • Professional designations such as C.E.T. are considered an asset.
  • Understanding of environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with building systems, including HVAC and plumbing, is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans is a plus.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring tools is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours and on weekends as needed.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle are required for travel within the designated area.
