Job Description

The Infotainment and Connected Services Validation Specialist will be responsible for participating in and performing various tasks, including:

  • Collaborating on design, resolving implementation gaps, functional testing, and issue resolution of system components, sub-systems, and features.
  • Communicating technical project status to management and key stakeholders.
  • Working closely with development and specification teams to decipher design details.
  • Facilitating and managing workshops, dojos, and triage activities.
  • Supporting setup and issue triage for fleets, including reliability growth and fast feedback.
  • Defect Management - Participating in standard defect management practices.
  • Root Cause Analysis - Performing the first level of triage of a defect during testing.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
  • Years of experience in embedded system testing (considering internships or co-ops as part of that experience).
  • Experience with CAN.
  • Linux, QNX, Command Line, and/or Telnet.
  • Test case writing.
  • Ticket/defect management experience.
  • In-vehicle Connected Vehicle Application experience (cloud/SDP).
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Fast learner, clear, concise, and precise communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to discern what issues need management escalation and when.
Preferred Requirements

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
  • Experience with CAPL.
  • Experience and knowledge of cutting-edge technologies within the connected vehicle.
  • Experience and knowledge with infotainment features.
Additional Information

The following must-haves are essential for the role:

  • Accountable and autonomous.
  • Experience or knowledge of CAN network/Vector tools.
  • Experience on Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of tuner/connectivity.
  • Remote work only at this time.
  • No driving required.
  • No traveling required.
