Key Responsibilities:

  • The Connected Services Validation Engineer plays a crucial role in engaging with and executing various tasks, including:
  • Collaborating on design efforts, addressing implementation discrepancies, conducting functional testing, and resolving issues related to system components, sub-systems, and features.
  • Effectively communicating the technical status of projects to management and essential stakeholders.
  • Working closely with development and specification teams to interpret design intricacies.
  • Facilitating and overseeing workshops, dojos, and triage sessions.
  • Assisting in the setup and issue triage for fleets, focusing on reliability growth and prompt feedback.
  • Participating in standard defect management practices to ensure quality.
  • Conducting root cause analysis by performing initial triage of defects during testing phases.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in testing embedded systems (internships or co-op experiences are acceptable).
  • At least 1 year of experience with Controller Area Network (CAN).
  • Familiarity with Linux/QNX/Command Line and/or Telnet environments.
  • Experience in writing test cases.
  • Proficient in ticket and defect management.
  • Experience with in-vehicle connected vehicle applications (e.g., cloud/SDP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A quick learner with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to identify issues that require management escalation.
  • Experience with CAPL (Communication Access Programming Language).
  • Knowledge of advanced technologies in the connected vehicle sector.
  • Familiarity with infotainment system features.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred.
