Job Title: Proposal Manager

Valard Construction LP is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Department, you will be responsible for leading the creation and oversight of proposals for external submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update proposal procedures and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all submissions.
  • Provide leadership and planning to the Proposal Department to ensure that all structures, systems, and competencies are followed to meet objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, departments, and sister organizations.
  • Review and prepare RFx status documentation, daily opportunities listings, and bid portal memberships.
  • Develop and grow the Valard Bid Library, a virtual repository of key information, templates, and supporting documentation.
  • Continuously learn, improve, and build methods and procedures to enhance Valard's chance of selection.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Communications, or a combination of relevant previous Post-Secondary education and experience.
  • 5+ years of Proposal-related experience, with 5-7 years of Management and Marketing/Sales experience.
  • Project Management experience and/or training is an asset.
  • Supply Chain Management experience and/or training an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of databases to create and/or maintain information stores in internal systems.
