Job Overview

As a Sales Counter Representative at EMCO Corporation, you will serve as a key point of contact for our clientele. Your role will involve delivering exceptional sales assistance by addressing inquiries, processing orders, and managing follow-ups on outstanding orders. Your main responsibility will be to assist our walk-in customers and handle incoming phone requests efficiently. Additionally, you will provide support to our Outside Sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers by researching products and offering recommendations from our extensive inventory Foster sales growth through effective counter merchandising, product promotion, and lead generation for the Outside Account Management team while engaging with customers Accurately enter, pick, and package sales orders initiated at the counter Notify the purchasing department when inventory levels are insufficient Handle returns and warranty claims for both account and cash transactions, ensuring compliance with all procedures Address customer concerns and complaints with effective solutions Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset Experience in customer service or sales at a counter is advantageous Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong relationship-building abilities with customers, suppliers, and colleagues Capability to learn and utilize the software systems for order processing A solid work ethic and a commitment to integrity Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with HVAC/R and building products sold at the Profit Centre Proficiency in using the Internet for problem-solving and finding alternative solutions for customers Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
