About the Role

Newville Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installation for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Corner Bead Installation: Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and provide a seamless finish.
  • Ceiling Grid Installation: Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Drywall Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet the required specifications.
  • Plaster Mixing: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency to ensure a strong and durable finish.
  • Compound Smoothing: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Stucco Application: Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Stud Installation: Install exterior and interior steel studs to provide a solid base for drywall installation.
  • Insulation Installation: Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation to meet the required building codes.
  • Layout Preparation: Prepare wall and ceiling layouts to ensure accurate drywall installation.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English language.
