Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Assistant to join our team at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre, a not-for-profit, government-funded facility that honours Jewish values and traditions while welcoming seniors of all backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assemble and deliver meals according to individual diet orders.
  • Operate food service equipment and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain department standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure high-quality meal service.

Requirements:

  • Grade XII education.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Minimum of one year work experience as a Dietary Aide.
  • Current Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Persons and Adult Abuse Registry Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mental and physical ability to meet the demands of the job.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a stressful environment with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work and follow safe work procedures.
