Job Title: Dietary Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to join our team at Donwood Manor. As a Dietary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents by preparing and serving meals, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and working collaboratively with our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare snack carts, portion desserts for supper, and prepare catering requests for special occasions
  • Serve supper to residents in the PCH, assist with washing/putting away dishes, and complete daily cleaning duties
  • Work in a team environment to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Exercise courtesy and cooperation towards residents, visitors, and team workers
  • Perform duties related to position assigned, including reading policy and procedures, disaster manual, WHMIS manual, and understanding specific responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Food Services is recommended
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 20 lbs
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills to balance competing priorities
  • Food Handlers Certificate is required within 6 months of employment
