Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals to residents, ensuring that all food is presented in a clean and appetizing manner.
  • Nutrition Support: Assist residents with mealtime, including setting up trays, serving food, and cleaning up after meals.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and storing food and equipment.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless food service and nutrition support, communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of Grade 10 required.
  • Food Handlers Training: Food Handlers training certificate Level 1 or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Food service experience preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
