Job Title: Senior Underwriter, Middle Market

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Middle Market team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and supporting the growth of our Middle Market business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring profitable premium and rate goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, identifying their marketing and education needs and providing support.
  • Interact directly with insureds, brokers, and producers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality service standards.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team, underwriting assistants, and management to achieve business objectives.
  • Act as a representative of the company and our agents, attending internal and external events, and industry functions.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Middle Market insurance experience, with a strong understanding of insurance product offerings and the Canadian insurance industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain robust insured and broker contacts.
  • Collaborative team player with a creative approach to problem-solving and a customer-focused mindset.
