Job Title: Senior Underwriter, Middle Market

AXA XL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Middle Market team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and supporting the growth of our Middle Market business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring profitable premium and rate goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, identifying their marketing and education needs and providing support.
  • Interact directly with insureds, brokers, and producers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality service standards.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to achieve business objectives and support the growth of our Middle Market business.
  • Act as a representative of AXA XL, attending internal and external events, and promoting our brand and products.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in the Canadian insurance industry, with a strong understanding of Middle Market insurance products.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Canadian market, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong broker relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
