About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at WOK BOX Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
    • Train kitchen staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and accurate service.
    • Lead and motivate a team of 1-2 kitchen staff to achieve high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with tight deadlines and high pressure to maintain quality and efficiency.
    • Stand for extended periods and maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate food preparation and presentation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and direct a team of kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and inventory management.
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Work language: English.
