Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at MONTE CARLO RESTAURANT. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and service in our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training
    • Develop and implement effective training programs for staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high food quality standards.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including food preparation, service, and sanitation.
    • Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Team Support
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
    • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
    • Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and customer feedback.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or restaurant management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule
    • 40 hours per week.
