About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 1868840 ALBERTA LTD. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Inventory Management

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Reporting and Administration

Prepare and submit reports as required, and maintain accurate records of staff performance and customer feedback.

Requirements
  • Leadership and Supervision

Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, and lead a team of 3-4 people, including food and beverage servers, kitchen and food service helpers.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintain a high level of physical fitness.

Personal Qualities

Exhibit strong client focus, flexibility, and teamwork skills, and have a strong understanding of the establishment's culinary genres.

Experience and Education
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
