Mining Project Engineer

Fluor Corporation is seeking experienced Project Engineers specializing in the mining sector. As a prominent player in the Mining and Metals (M&M) industry, Fluor is renowned for its comprehensive approach to engineering and executing M&M projects globally. Our firm has successfully designed and constructed significant projects in various locations, collaborating with numerous leading and emerging mining enterprises, primarily focusing on copper and gold.
This role involves ensuring the delivery of services by a segment of the Fluor team, suppliers, or contractors, adhering to our stringent safety and quality standards while meeting or exceeding cost, schedule, and project milestones. You may have the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale PCM project. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Engineers will engage in multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute tasks that require sound technical judgment in evaluating, organizing, and managing project assignments. This position is designed to develop a broader understanding of project management principles and practices.
Essential Duties Include:- Executing fundamental project engineering tasks, including progress monitoring, procedure preparation, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification and assessment of project challenges;
- Coordinating the efforts of technical disciplines, vendors, and licensors to ensure cohesive and comprehensive designs that fulfill project specifications and contractual commitments;
- Assisting in the enforcement and implementation of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards and initiatives;
- Reviewing project staffing needs and coordinating with functional organization managers and/or subcontractors;
- Supporting the development and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against established plans;
- Assisting in the preparation and coordination of project effort hours, cost estimates, and budgets, while tracking progress and cost performance;
- Facilitating the preparation, delivery, and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
