About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Oliver Bonacini Cafe Grill - Blue Mountain. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation

Lead a team of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that high-quality dishes are served to our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide guidance and training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Inventory Management

Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked.

Quality Control

Monitor and maintain quality control standards, ensuring that our food and service meet the highest expectations.

Reporting and Record-Keeping

Prepare and submit reports on stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for our management team.

Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet demanding service standards. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a noisy kitchen setting.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required. We are looking for candidates with at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Language and Work Schedule

Fluency in English is essential, and you will be required to work a 30 to 40 hour per week schedule.
