This program provides vital support to teenagers facing mental health and addiction challenges. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to help these young residents and their families thrive.
About the RoleThe Mental Health Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services within a supportive and structured environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each resident.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand individual needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident's unique circumstances.
- Facilitate engaging and effective therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate care with other professionals involved in the residents' well-being, fostering a collaborative approach.
- Contribute to staff knowledge through ongoing professional development and sharing best practices.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families within the program.
- Possess a graduate degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing.
- Have a minimum of two years of clinical experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
- Hold current registration with a relevant professional college.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check.
- Completion of a Child Intervention Check.
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certification.
