Mental Health Therapist

CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team at CASA House. This unique program provides intensive support to teenagers facing significant mental health and/or addiction challenges.
At CASA House, we believe in empowering youth and families through comprehensive care. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in guiding these young individuals towards healing and growth.
About the Role- Conduct thorough bio-psycho-social assessments to understand each child's needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic approaches.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the specific challenges faced by our residents.
- Facilitate psycho-educational groups for both children and their caregivers, fostering a supportive environment for learning and growth.
- Collaborate with community services and other professionals involved in the child's well-being, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
- Contribute to staff development by sharing your expertise and insights within our team.
- Master's degree in psychology, social work (with psycho-social intervention designation), occupational therapy, or nursing.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with children and families in mental health and/or youth addiction settings. Experience within schools is highly valued.
- Current registration in good standing with a relevant professional college.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel as needed.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- A satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground.
- Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA), as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
