Key Responsibilities:
  1. Overseeing daily HR operations and responsibilities.
  2. Maintaining comprehensive employee records in both physical and digital formats.
  3. Updating HR documentation by tracking new hires, separations, job classification changes, and leave of absence records.
  4. Serving as the primary resource for all employee inquiries regarding HR policies and programs.
  5. Facilitating the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions.
  6. Assisting management with compliance audits and annual performance evaluations.
  7. Coordinating health and safety initiatives.
  8. Developing and leading training sessions as mandated by legislation.
  9. Managing staff accommodation logistics.
  10. Supporting payroll processes during peak seasons.
  11. Participating in the recruitment, selection, and hiring processes.
  12. Conducting workplace investigations as necessary.
  13. Assisting with employee terminations and disciplinary actions.
  14. Ensuring an efficient and effective full-cycle recruitment process.
  15. Managing Workers' Compensation claims and facilitating return-to-work programs.
Qualifications:
  • A passion for the hospitality industry, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong skills in coordination, organization, administration, time management, and multitasking.
  • Adept at engaging with employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in Human Resources.
  • A commitment to a People First philosophy.
  • Possession of a valid Canadian Work Permit.
  • Proficiency in IT, with the ability to learn and utilize various information systems, including MS Office and HRIS.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Willingness to work onsite regularly.
