We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at Lock Search Group. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the commercial sector, providing technical expertise and support to ensure the successful sale of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively research and identify new business opportunities in the commercial sector, working closely with key client decision makers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our HVAC product line, including its features, benefits, and applications.
- Collaborate with our commercial sales team to design and deliver commercial HVAC solutions, generating mechanical design specifications for our products.
- Prepare and deliver effective seminars and training sessions to convey the benefits of our systems to the consulting engineer community.
- Develop and maintain sales and application tools and materials to assist in the efficient specification of our products.
- Liaise with our sales team to introduce new product formats to the market and ensure seamless integration with existing products.
- Work closely with our commercial inside sales team to resolve technical issues and provide support to customers and external sales engineers.
- Effectively manage assigned commercial accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for pre- and post-sales related inquiries.
- Provide regular insights and feedback to our Commercial Sales Manager and leadership team on trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Promote and maintain positive relationships with all customers through regular communication of product-related information.
- Must have completed a post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of commonly used sales engineering concepts, design innovation, practices, and procedures within the HVAC/mechanical space is essential.
- A track record of sales or application engineering with a technical focus is required.
- Previous experience specifying technical/mechanical products in the commercial sector is a must.
- A proven record of strategic client development initiatives is necessary.
- Possess the ability to continuously present recommendations to all levels of decision makers, maximizing sales potential.
- Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
