Position Overview
The Senior Procurement Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and is tasked with spearheading procurement activities across the functional domains of Procurement Strategy, Strategic Sourcing, and Contract Development, supporting financial services such as mortgages, banking, and insurance products, along with wealth and asset management operations. The Senior Procurement Manager will oversee the comprehensive sourcing activities for complex deals and, when necessary, provide support to the Director or AVP on confidential and highly strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight on the procurement plan for assigned Business Unit(s) to achieve business objectives and savings targets.
- Develop Category/Supplier Strategies to identify savings opportunities through market research and spend analytics, driving continuous improvement.
- Lead Strategic Sourcing by collaborating with assigned Business Unit(s) to manage competitive selection processes and offer advisory support.
- Oversee Contract Development & Management, including negotiating terms, finalizing contract packages for execution, and coaching on contract compliance.
- Manage Third-Party Risk at the category/supplier/engagement level, collaborating with risk stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, preferably in business or finance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial environment with a solid understanding of wealth and asset management operations, including exposure to mortgages, banking, and insurance products.
- Proven experience in managing the end-to-end RFx process and deal teams.
- Proficient in contract negotiations for financial services categories such as Advisor services, fund operations, industry subscriptions, and wealth product management.
- Capability to manage senior to executive-level stakeholders.
