Program Director, Quebec and Eastern Canada

About the Role
EnviroEmplois is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our team in Quebec and Eastern Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the advancement of the Appel à Recycler program with provincial governments and related regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with provincial governments and regulatory agencies, including the Quebec government and RECYC-Québec.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the current program director for the Quebec and Eastern Canada region.
- Manage regulatory provincial affairs, including regular meetings and discussions with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Address and submit all regulatory issues and concerns.
- Advocate on behalf of the organization with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
- Participate in and present at relevant conferences and meetings.
- Monitor changes in legislation and address or raise questions that affect the program or may impact future growth.
- Ensure timely submission of annual reports and other regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate and secure renewals of program plans, contracts, and related matters with the approval of the Vice-President of Government and Industry Relations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including the Quebec Council and required stakeholder committees.
- Work with other program management teams and participate in management committees as needed.
- Proactively manage stakeholder groups and organizations to create positive relationships and formal support for program development and successful activities.
- Support the development of Environmental Handling Fees (EHF) for new product categories or modify existing fees for the Quebec and Eastern Canada program.
- Identify potential opportunities for union delegates in relevant provinces and assist in finding potential delegates, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. An MBA is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in general management, government relations, and/or customer service or in a similar management organization.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required.
- Autonomous, results-driven, creative, and energetic, with the ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving environment and execute tasks and achieve results.
- Ability to develop strategies, identify opportunities, and develop solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative attitude, and positive attitude.
- Travel outside the office (Quebec and Eastern Canada and may include other provinces) is required for meetings, conferences, etc. (up to 40%).
