About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 11235958 Canada Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Develop and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites.
  • Train and supervise apprentices and other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various establishments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Handle heavy loads and materials.
  • Manage a high workload and meet deadlines.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
Language and Work Schedule
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours of work per week.
