Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Gourmet Carleton Place Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that their experience is positive and memorable.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, and maintain accurate records of employee hours and attendance.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, walking, and attention to detail are required.
  • Personal Suitability: Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
