Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Capture Strategies: Support new business acquisition and develop capture strategies to actively lead essential activities within the cradle-to-grave lifecycle of a defense pursuit.
  • Lead Proposal Response Efforts: Lead proposal response efforts for all LOI/RFI/ITQ/DRFP/RFP in accordance with Duke's Business Acquisition Process, Shipley Methodology, and industry best practices to ensure a high capture rate of new business.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Provides guidance to a diverse team of cross-functional proposal personnel.
  • Manage Proposal Schedules and Deadlines: Manages proposal schedules and deadlines, develops proposal artifacts and supporting artifacts such as proposal outline, compliance matrix, storyboard plan, and delivery plan.
  • Support Bid Approval Team Reviews: Supports bid approval team reviews and manages the disposition of review comments.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior business development, capture management, proposal or program management experience in the defense industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of Federal Government Contracting and Procurement and associated processes, particularly within the Department of National Defence.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in SalesForce or other CRM applications and previous experience managing and developing proposals for large-scale government products and services minimum of $10 million.
