Job Overview

In this pivotal position, you will report to the Program Director or Senior Manager, providing essential operational guidance and support to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and their families. This role entails a collaborative partnership with a Physician Leader to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services within designated segments of a comprehensive clinical program.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the interdisciplinary team, including Clinical Nurse Leaders and Unit Supervisors, to ensure that patient and family-centered care is executed within a well-coordinated care delivery framework.
  2. Work alongside the Physician Operations Leader to strategize and oversee the provision of high-quality care within assigned units, aligning with the operational and strategic goals of the clinical program.
  3. Engage with fellow leaders to spearhead process enhancements by involving the interdisciplinary team in problem-solving initiatives and applying quality improvement methodologies.
  4. Collaborate with community partners to ensure timely care delivery that meets the needs of patients and families, while effectively managing risks and incidents.
  5. Foster effective communication among team members to ensure awareness and understanding of changes affecting service delivery.
  6. Serve as the liaison between assigned units and corporate support systems to identify needs and develop solutions that facilitate frontline care delivery.
  7. Partner with physician leadership to develop and manage operational and capital budgets, monitor productivity metrics, and analyze budget variances.
  8. Collaborate with Human Resources to devise recruitment and retention strategies that align with the clinical area’s objectives.
  9. Facilitate the creation and implementation of orientation programs for new staff, ensuring they receive comprehensive training in clinical practices and organizational policies.
  10. Develop and assess staffing patterns and schedules to guarantee adequate staffing levels to meet patient care requirements.
  11. Participate in leadership team activities, including collective bargaining preparations and managerial responsibilities.
  12. Cultivate an environment that promotes interdisciplinary team learning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

A Master’s degree in a relevant health profession is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in a middle management role within a sizable healthcare organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Vaccination Requirement
