Corporate Counsel for Privacy and Compliance

The Corporate Counsel for Privacy and Compliance role at Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. focuses on overseeing the Privacy Management Framework and addressing legal issues under the guidance of the Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct initiatives to fulfill Privacy Management Framework obligations
  • Embed privacy considerations into operational processes
  • Provide counsel on privacy best practices
  • Evaluate privacy-related risks and offer strategic advice to various business units
  • Remain updated on privacy legislation
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders on privacy initiatives
  • Address operational inquiries regarding privacy compliance
  • Conduct legal assessments related to marketing, bilingual requirements, and other relevant subjects
  • Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization
  • Offer compliance assistance and support departmental operations
QualificationsEducation:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree
  • Certification from a recognized Canadian compliance organization
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate compliance and legal practice
Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency in French
  • Strong negotiation capabilities
  • Willingness to travel as required
